Despription: COLOR RELEASE contains a specially formulated releasing agent that forms a moisture barrier between the stamping tools and the wet concrete facilitating the release of flexible tools. It is a dry shake material applied directly on top of the color hardener prior to stamping. This product contains integrated iron oxide color except the clear which leaves no trace. For use on textured, concrete only. APPLICATION – PREPARATION:
All surrounding areas should be protected from contamination by the dust created by the broadcast method of application.
SLAB PREPARATION:
This is the final stop prior to stamping textured concrete and is to be applied on top of the color hardener (if used) only after all troweling has been completed.
BROADCASTING PROCEDURE:
Before tossing release, empty half of the contents of a pail into a clean dry container and aerate material to loosen any compaction before spreading on surface. Apply evenly over the area using a casting motion. Use caution in windy conditions. The use of a dust mask is required to prevent inhalation. The second application must be opposite direction for uniform coverage.
BENEFITS:
Color or clear releases are a must on textured concrete providing the barrier essential to prevent suction that detracts from a finished product thus greatly reducing the need for touch-up. By using color release a rich looking antique effect is achieved. There are various combinations of colors that will give the two tone effect by accenting the highlights. The darker color applied on top of the color hardener recesses into grout lines and deeper textures.
FINISHING:
By high pressure washing with water only after the concrete has set and dried you remove the excess release color. Take care not to wash off completely, by washing the grout lines and deeper indentations with a quicker action than the highlights you will leave the darker color release to remain.
COVERAGE PER SQUARE METER:
Medium duty use 0,125 kg-0,150 kg per m2 is adequate under normal conditions, depending on conditions such as wind and wetness of the concrete..
